Very nice devices but I'm trying to weigh up if I would rather have this or a laptop.
The only Pro's I can see are apps and portability but I'm definitely gonna try the S1 when it surfaces.

Nice to see that there may be keyboards and peripherals available, according to techradar

Had a play with one of these in the Sony Store yesterday - very nice to hold, the magazine design really makes it a lot easier to handle. I thought the screen could be brighter but that might just be the settings, however, all in all I was impressed.
The 3G version will be available well before Christmas I was told.

As a Galaxy Tab10.1v user for the past 3months or so ill tell you now, this will NOT replace a laptop, my mother made the same mistake when getting her iPad, she thought she wouldn't need her laptop and gave it away, she's now bought another one.
These tablets can't replace a fully blown desktop OS that you get in a laptop, BUT they are a fantastic go-between your smartphone and laptop, I use my laptop a lot less now, only use it for uni assignments and backing up media, the tablet is used for web browsing, movies, music, social networking and reading books, when I'm at home, the phone works as an extension of my tablet when I'm at home, then when I'm out I use it for browsing etc...when I don't have my tablet with me.
Great thing about these tablets is the incredible battery life they give, my smartphone and latop put together couldn't last as long as my tab, it is just amazing battery life, two days of hard use is what I get.
I'd say go for it, but don't expect it to total replace your laptop.

Thanks Tsepz_GP.
I'd come to the conclusion that it would not replace my laptop - I'd probably use it more for reading and a sort of second TV but the laptop form-factor works better for me.
