Ive just got hold of a Bluetake BT009 BT dongle and ive installed the latest drivers off their site and I successfully paired my T68i to my PC but for some reason when I go to my bluetooth places and double click on the phone I cant see any services that the phone can do such as the BT serial port etc.

Im sorry if this question has been posted before but i cant find it.

Any help would be appreciated

have you added your t68 to "my bluetooth places" ? there should be a way to do that in the software.
Thats the only way to make your t68 appear under "My bluetooth places"
Then doubleclick the icon to make t68 connect to bluetooth serial port

I recognise the problem. I probably had the same problem.

A few things to check:

  • Do you use Windows XP?

    • Have you installed hotfix Q328310?
    • Have you installed WinXP on NTFS partition?
    • Have you installed WinXP on a raid drive?

  • If you watch the advanced configuration in My Bluetooth Places is the computername empty and after changing isn't saved?
  • Is there any service available in the advanced configuration?

The last two items of WinXP I'm not sure about, but the second can couse a lot of trouble installing the software, like unable to finish the installation and more of that kind of trouble.
I had installed WinXP on a raiddrive with NTFS. And I was unable to use the bluetooth connection. After installation I was able to pair the phone, but I couldn't use it later. My computername couldn't be saved and no service was available.
After a clean install on a Fat32 not raid drive a haven't got any problems anymore.
So try that if you can recognise your situation in the mentioned one.

I have exactly the problem mentioned above by jcbos. I can pair the phone, but the computer name (and other settings) are not saved under the bluetooth configuration dialog. So i can't see any available services on the T68i. Now, i've gotten this exact adapter (Belkin USB) to work on my laptop and my computer at work, but not at home. It's running WinXP on a FAT32 drive. Does anyone have any solutions other than doing a clean install??? I'd really like to avoid that...

thanks,

I don't know if it is going to work but if you have the hotfix installed mentioned in my first post, uninstall this one, uninstall any other SE software (also XTND Connect PC). Reboot, use regclean (or other registry cleaner) to clean up the mess left by the programs. Reboot again and try reinstalling everything.

If then the connection doesn't work, you have to reinstall everything.

But two things I want to know: On which drive is your windows installed (drive letter)? And Is this drive connected via RAID?

Multiple re-installs and regcleans didn't seem to help... Btw, i've got no RAID and my windows is on my C: drive.

BUT! the good news is that i got it working!!!!!! after all this time!!! i logged in as Administrator (yes, my usual user account IS in the Administrators group, but this time I logged in as the *official* administrator account instead). after uninstalling everything and re-installing as Administrator, the registry permissions seemed to be correct and it all seems to work now! Sweeeet...

I hope this helps others,

Hi!
I have a T39m (yes, it is old but with highcap. battery it is damn good!) and i have now installed Ofiice XP (i have win xp as OS). I try to install Ericsson comm.suite but it tells me to reboot and start the inst.program again afterwords. I saw the tips about Q328310 but i am not able to remove it from "Add/Remove programs". What should i do?
Please mail me at this address if you guys have solutions for me. )
