How can attach a file to an email with Xperia arc? |

I need to send a excel file via email. Normally I'd do this from my laptop but I need to do this through my Xperia Arc. I have the file on my Arc but when I open an email and click attach file, the list of options does not include file. The drop down list only includes things like photos, vidios, sounds etc. Can any tell me how I can get round this?

I produced the file on my laptop then downloaded it to the Arc. I can open it and read it okay on the Arc but if I open an email and want to attach the file then there is no option on the drop down menu that appears when I click on attach file |

Just checked this... Actually, the options you get when attaching a file, are apps that can select files (like Gallery etc). Android doesn't have a built-in file explorer, so to attach any file, install a file explorer app, and select that when attaching, then in the app, select the file you want to attach.
Astro file explorer is one of the most popular. |
