Hi!, I'm new to this forum. And I need some help in deciding what phone to buy.

I've had SE phone all my life. first w810i, next and up until now I have a w910. Love SE phone and want to go for another SE one.

First Phone that took my interest is W995. The reviews for this phone is excellent. I know it's a bit outdated. But it has everything I need. Could you share your experiences with me on the W995.

Also I'm interested in XPERIA X10. The fact that it's a smartphone gives it an advantage. But the reviews are bad . Also interested in other smartphones in the same price range too. But the battery life and camera, sucks on those.

Basically I f I can get my hands on a original new W995 I wouldn't want anything else. A new W995 is hard to come by in here ( Colombo, Sri Lanka ). There are a couple. So Another question is how to Identify the original stuff. If it's made in China is it fake?

Welcome to the forum I`ve had the w995 for two years(my backup phone now) and it is a great phone, realiable and with great batterytime. The camera takes good pictures and the musicplayer is very good so is the screen. I use to have both the w810 and the w910 and the w995 is a significant upgrade so go for it Not sure about how to identify a fake one, mine says Made In China and is original. Maybe the Imei number ?

The phone used to come with a set of external speakers right? Was it only for the earlier packages?

Welcome to Esato machan, is it really available in Sri Lanka now ? I thought it's already vanished from markets, anyways it's a great phone but I don't like it's camera, battery life is excellent as the thing with any SE dumb phone, Smart phones' battery life is bad but you can get used to it (as I did )
The thing is machan the X10 is not as bad as they tell you in reviews, it will be getting Gingerbread (2.3) soon and will be like good as a latest phone, and what a beauty that is
have you checked out the Hazel ? it's got a great camera and everything you can find in the W995, though not the premium look and feel
Anyways "Made in china" SE ones are not fake, in fact you can only find Made in China SE phones in SL AFAIK,
What you should really worry about is the refurbished ones the shops sell you as Brand-new ones
