Opera Mini was updated to the 6.1 version. It includes new and improved features. Here they are:
Text selection
The text selection is greatly improved for touch screen devices. Just click on the text you want to select, then drag the handles to adjust the selection and press "Select".
Search suggestions
Search faster! Search suggestions from Google and Yandex will appear when you start typing in the search field.
Address bar
You can now search directly from the address bar! The search option will appear in the drop down list when you type something.
Also we have improved the top level domains (TLD) suggestions that appears when you type an address. The suggestions corresponds better to the ones that you actually use.

Java:
- Improved memory handling on Sony Ericsson devices.
- Improved text input for devices using Rolltech Nemomp JVM.
- Improved device detection. Samsung GT-B5722, GT-C3510, SDH-D980 and GT-B3410 should now get the correct touch UI.
- Ring tones can be saved to "tones" download folder.
- General bug fixes and improvements.

We listened to you and added suggestions. Search suggestions from Google and Yandex complement smarter domain recognition in this version update. The Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers not only complete your search queries, they also adapt to your surfing habits. With the new top-level domain learning feature, new top-level domains such as .uk, .ru and .id are picked up by the browser so you can type less, next time around.

Same, same but different
