It would yes but when I have seen clearence from Carphone before it's refurbished. I might be wrong I don't know  If it says massive sale then I guess it is new.

Yes I have played with a live one in Carphone which was strapped to the wall. I set the alarm off  But it looked nice & has better specs if I were you go with that cos it is going to be better in terms of specs & cheaper than if not the same price as the Wildfire S. Also the camera although both have 5 megs the Desire Z is better in terms of image quality. The hinge I have read in reviews is well built.

If I cant get one from the sale, I will end up getting the wildfire s, as it will take a while for them to come down in price otherwise.
Have you ever purchased anything from E cell on ebay? They have the Wildfire S (sim free) for £204.99 or o2 have it for £199 which will no doubt be locked.

Only thing that put me off with the Desire Z was the weight. It does seem a little heavy.

I love hardware like qwerty keyboards but with so many manufacturers now build quality is never spot on. And over time things become loose
