Post Pictures from your Xperia Play! |

Hello Everyone,
I haven't seen anyone start a post for this yet so I thought I would get the ball rolling. The only edits that have been made to these photos is resizing and reorienting. I've also made some comments at the very end.
I know some of the critics knock the XPlay for not having the best camera, but I think hardware-wise it is pretty decent. The problem is the software that it comes with, which is the native android camera app. It kinda sucks!
* No touch to focus
* No metering options (which really blows....highlights and all)
* No focusing square to tell me what it's focusing on (it highlights the whole screen)
Thankfully since it's a software issue hopefully it will be remedied...either by Sony for the hacking community trying to port over the Xperia Arc/Neo Software.
Anyways, please post ur photos if you have a XPlay!

Thanks. I'll be sure to post a few. I've no complaints about the camera.

Was wondering when I would see this thread. Picture quality looks fine to me.

You know its just reviewers moaning cos they think 5 mega pixels is no longer enough on a mobile. Good pictures look very clear and without too much of the over done features of the Arc. It sometimes depends who is behind the camera.

Also, it doesn't really matter if it has a 5mpx or 8mpx rating if both phones use the same sensor Does anyone have any pics of how the Xperia Play cam does in low light conditions? Pleasantly surprised with what I'm seeing so far, did not expect a model primarily built for gaming to be be able to produce pics like these. |

Night shots are not so good as expected. Those coloured lines are back again as on the Elm

That wasn't a very good one I'm afraid. I'll try and post more when I get home.

Try putting it on a stable surface even if you have to hold it steady on a wall. And experiment a bit if ya can

Thanks. I just wish there were more camera settings but so far it shoots great pics which are nice and sharp and the video looks very impressive on screen.
Hopefully more settings will come with future updates.

Yeah, it would just be nice to have the B&W option without having to do any post processing.
I wouldm''t mind HD recording too. I guess I'll check to see if the camera is capable and then hope for a nice little update to the software.
