Sad to say but it seems that Mobile Review has killed it's own English version of forum.

I remember the topic named: "photos taken by your mobiles here" which was opened in 2004 and had more than million visits. Davidsic, Sassho and me were very active there.

Unfortunalety English version of MR forum no longer exists which is a very bad news for all how were involved in that topic including me

It is a great pity that one of the biggest forums dedicated to mobile phones and mobile photography is dead

Probably political reasons for the closure.

The is a pity. I liked a lot of their reviews (even if I didnt' always agree with them) but it was nice to pop in.

How the West does not approve of Russia's meddling in Ukraine?

It's not due to political reasons, they haven't done English reviews for about 2years now and Eldar abandoned the English forum+review section and focused on the Russian one, so the english side was bound to be shutdown at some point, its actually amazing that it lasted as long as it did. There were about 10 of us incl. aussieland, difenbaker and some others who are now here who tried to keep the english side alive up until a few weeks ago.

Going to miss all the arguments, whit and knowledge that many of the members had there members like Synn and Dogman, was always a entertaining read and the reviews were always very insightful, the most insightful I've ever seen, I can't think of any other site that has reviews that were as highly detailed and thorough as M-R, GSMArena are the closest yet still very far from what M-R was, M-R used to talk about CPU/GPU, RAM, pixel density, Camera sensor, audio hardware etc...in phones many years before these became standard topics in reviews. Eldar lost a whole lot of support after the Nokia N8 leak review, where he harshly reviewed a Nokia N8 unit a week or so before Nokia had even unveiled it, M-R was never the same after that, at least not the English side.

I never came by this forum. It's a shame because forums are being smaller and smaller every day.

It really is a pity for the people who tried to keep the english forum alive, but Eldar is a biased idiot.

Live and let live, how hard can it be ?

It is a putty indeed. Although I understand that it was meant to be shut down at any point due to the low number of people still posting on there it was still sad.... especially how it happened over night, wish there was some warning or something

such a shame indeed...

was one of my fav forums because of its diversity... topics regarding photography, cars, movies, sports, were all very active at some point and it was enjoyable to be in.

but sadly it was abandoned by its admin... all the mods were left in the dark. As aussie mentioned, it happened virtually overnight, no warning... and sadly no time to back anything up. Sigh.

all thats left now, I think, is the facebook page... where veteran members can still post about and talk about the good old times.

cheers!

Yeah it's kinda sad to lose M-R's forum..
Lot of good members, and one or two tools who were a good riddance..
Cheers to those good lads and thanks for my 10 years there.
