I just read an interview with Jan Wäreby, CEO SonyEricsson on di.se
http://di.se/Scripts/Main/ReadMe.asp?stat=0&ID=2003%5C02%5C11%5C71004
This is what he says (in swedish):
"Han säger vidare att 3GSM-mässan i Cannes nästa vecka är ett bra tillfälle att visa nya produkter men om Sony Ericsson kommer att visa upp en 3G-telefon vill han inte svara närmare på än "vi får väl se"."
Rough translation to english:
"He also says that on the 3GSM exhibition in Cannes next week would be a nice opportunity to unveil new products. On the question if SE would show a 3G-phone he said "we will see" |

Yes, and according to a friend of mine who works as a engineer at SE the successor to the T68 should be available in week 18. And he also said that it should have "some really nice features". But he wouldn't/couldn't say anything more... |

Wishful thinking!
The size of the t600 with built in digicam with 65k color tft screen and with latest java and dynamic memry of 64mb and expandable to 1 gigabyte!wow!what a wish!
Back to reality,4 the t68i successor,i just wish 4 additional features like java,24 channel polytones, downloadable games, additional memory, videocam builtin with flash and a tft screen.

you just might get your last wish!
I was wishing that my P800 had a wider screen and was thinner, and had a 16-bit screen... I might be getting my wish as well... but you'll be getting your wish ahead of me. |

I really don't know if being polyphonic is the way to go. Unless they (SE) would be able to have the speaker sound louder then this would be great. Otherwise, I'd still choose monophonic over a multi-channel speaker that is subtler and is really not that audible in noisy environments.

About time too! Hopefully we will get sth from SE next week, although i do have my reservations! All this secrecy and delay must mean they are aup to something special! |

Don`t forget that P800 was anounced in March 2002. and we had to wait almost a year to get it... |

True, but remember that the same thing happened with the T28. It was delayed for such a long time, and didn't deliver as promised. Then without any advanced press release, the T39 and R520 were suddenly announced and released in a very short ammount of time!
Ericsson has a way of throwing people off. I think the P800 is just 'bait'... to freak out the competition, have them release their 'secret' products... THEN, and only then will SE show what they've REALLY been up to!
Just to give you guys a hint...one of the phones looks like the new Sony Clie NZ90. |

that'll be good then, we'll all be able to get worked up about it's release, then realise that we have to wait another 18 months to actually get hold of the thing!
