wait for iPhone 5, or not? |

Hi everyone!
I am due an upgrade, and could get an iPhone 4 in white, a S-E Arc if they become available soon, or wait to see what iPhone 5 brings.
I note many reviews that suggest the Arc has the edge over iPhone 4.0 but I know that's the reviewers opinion.
Oh what to do! This contract finishes 7/7/2011 so I could port my number and look around for best deals.
Esatonian opinions welcomed!

iPhone5 will take a while to show up. Maybe even till next year.

most sources rumour the iphone 5 to be out in September and I see no reason to doubt those.
Still, thats 4-5 months away which is a long time in the mobile phone world so I reckon you should look at getting something now which you can sell on if the iphone 5 takes your fancy.
... and remember, there's still not too much known about what might be different in the iphone 5 so you erally have nothing to compare against in that respect. You might end up waiting 4 months just to find that there's not enough over the iphone 4 or other currently available device to make it worthwhile.

Personally I'd recommend a white iPhone 4. If you decide that you want the iPhone 5 when it comes out you can simply ebay your white 4 (which will make more on ebay than a black one) and get a 5 off ebay. I'm not confident you'd get as much money back if you did this with the Arc. Although from what I've seen of it it seems to be a really nice phone and definate iPhone alternative. You may get this and decide you don't want an iPhone after all. My advice is to go to phone shops and try them out

Yes, made a decision! S-E Arc and like it very much!
Not quite set up to my liking yet but it soon will be!
Will sell the Nexus One on and maybe keep the W900i as my back up phone....

iOS 5 has some stunning features, nicked from everyone else, but with the Apple flavour  I plan to upgrade to the iPhone 5 but I may also get that rather fancy SE Urushi to have a play with Android as I doubt it will cost too much. |

i'll get another se at some point, but i ain't gonna get a iphone...way to overpriced and imo, just ain't all that...much prefer android. |

I have an iphone 4 and am due to upgrade next week. i will be waiting for the iphone 5 as i like this one very much and cant see the next being worse going on past models. I wouldnt mind another BB but with ios 5 coming soon i think i would lose more than i would gain.
