Well, my Elm's display glass shattered completely when I dropped it at work by accident. Since I don't feel like sending it to the factory to get it repaired (which is probably quite costly, and could take up to months), I decided I'm going to buy myself a new phone. I'll probably go for the Hazel this time.
I had considered the Xperia X8, but decided not to get that one due to a lack of LED flashlight and a rather worthless camera unit.

Hazel has a yellowish flash, but I'm not sure about the newer ones produced recently, maybe they've fixed it, anyway on the other hand you get a better and bigger screen.

Now, that sucks.

I've dropped my phone twice face down and the screen is unscathed.

About the X8, nice Android phone, I could consider it if it has a better camera + flash. But, at least you got Android.

I've ordered the Hazel, at the last shop that still sells the phone here in Belgium.
It'll arrive within three to four days!

Question: I've used PC Companion to make a backup of my Elm's data. When I recieve my Hazel, is it possible to restore my Elm's backup on the Hazel?

Haha yeah the same thing with mine, dropped it once at a high speed, and it came out of my pocket face first. Dropped it again and it got some more. Now I'm using it with a cracked screen, but there is no way I'm replacing it. Its the best crappy looking but secretly awesome phones in the market. Everythings amazing about it, and I dunno what I would replace it with. Perhaps maybe another one since they're pretty cheap now.

I've been using the Hazel for a while now and I've to say it's a pretty cool phone, and it has a magnificent display!

These two phones are awesome, very tough. Dropped my phone a number of times and just got a few scratches on the silver back cover. It's rather weird how you got the glass to break. Btw, I just dropped my Elm a few days ago into a bucket full of water and submerged it. It stayed on the whole time! Turned it off, let it dry for a few minutes and voila! Works like nothing happened. |
