Accoring to CEO Howard Stringer Sony will release a Android Gingerbread powered tablet by the end of this summer
Esato News

We have earlier published images of a couple of Sony Ericsson consept tablets. We did not think either of Sony or Sony Ericsson would release a tablet anytime soon. Seems like this prediction went wrong. At least if the Japanese newspaper Nikkei is correct. The paper is citing Sonys Chief Executive Officer Howard Stringer which said that a Sony Android Gingerbread tablet will be released first in the US by the end of this summer. This will be interesting device. It was time Sony Ericsson to launch such device after almost every mobile phone manufacturer did it...

sorry, but I think that now that Apple has led the way last year... the question is... who won't be launching a tablet this year...
its just a real real shame that technology was too imature when microsoft tried to invent tablets in the early milleniium when I was already really keen but the best they could offer was a form of handwriting recognition... now we have google translate with almost perfect voice translation in so many languages...

You are right about Microsoft. They couldn't think tablet concept as a mobile platform. They have tried to mobilize notebooks which was a major failure due to size and usability issues. |

I would go with Sony Ericsson Xperia Tab for 7"
and Sony Vaio Tab for 10.1"
