Chinese copy as backup phone |

After having my phone stolen again I'm looking at cheaper alternatives. Given some thought all I really need is the ability to email. This is possible with the gmail j2me java app so I don't need to get a full on blackberry.
Looking around I've found some very interesting chinese blackberry-like looking things.
Some look great because they have full querty keyboards and dual sim - great for travel.
Have you ever tried one of these phones? They vary quite a lot but how did you get on with it? I tried out a fake Nokia e71 but it couldn't run j2me; some of the ones I've seen advertised say they can... but can they really run opera mini?
I can get 6 of these phones for the cost of something proper... maybe I'll just get one and find out the hard way... |

Don't support those chinese imitations. They suck.

^^ Agree, buy a cheap (older) model from a regular brand, no copy-crap.
