I've just been doing a little research here.
Rumours said that it was not for free to upgrade the SW to get your native language in your phone. I was abit suprised when i heard this but I'm afraid it's true.
was not sure what the exact price was but calling a coupple of shops here in Norway gave me the answer. 350 Norwegian Kroner(!), that will be around UK£30. The upgrade takes about 1 1/2 hour and you lose all your data, so do a back up first.
Now, before you jump out of your seats, there will be a free downloadable Language Pack on 's homepages during Q1.

That's strange... I just upgraded my phone to R1D friday, they didn't charge me anything! They selected the Dutch language them selves, but if I want another language, I can just download it from my PC, since the language packs come with the new phone sync software |

As far as I know the firmware upgrade for the Greek Language will be free of charge for Greece. |

Well, maybe it's different here in Norway then. Anyway, I never thought I would say this, I'm really happy if I'm wrong.
