today i picked up a catalogue from cpw and turned to the first page they had a plethora of Nokia phones and the p800 but guess what.
the release date is now March.
in a way I am kinda glad as it will give me more time to prepare (decide what network and tarriff i want it on) but it's getting beyond a joke.
next time they have a phone they should try and keep it a secret and test it and do what ever else they need to do, put it in shops and then say "just in case you did'nt notice we have a new phone out, it does this and that".
that way what the public does'nt know won't hurt them!!

I just spoke to  UK, thay had a mail in this morning about the release dat of the P800.
SIM free release in the UK will be late feb.

I wonder why the UK release is taking forever. I was so surprised when I found out that we (The Philippines) were getting it ahead of the UK!!!
I normally look at the UK site to see what new stuff SE is releasing, and I give about a month or two before it's released here in the Phil.
Apparently, with the P800, the roles have been reversed. We've had the P800 here for almost 2 months now. And there's no mention of it in the Philippines website... strange! |

Im sick of this waiting and waiting! They are annoying so many people with this delay after delay!! Ive just bought one off ebay instead of waiting more time.. grr! |

Even we in the "prioritized markets" are waiting for the P800 to be released in the UK and the USA. Then, after a while, there will be more software (P800, pc and mac) and more technical fora, discussions etc. It's a great phone as you realise more and more as the weeks go by of using it. It seems to have almost no limits. |

P800 is out in belgium almost every where. so if you really want if fast and don't like e-shopping take a quick trip to belgium. visit our belcompany stores they all have it for only 839€. i'm getting mine soon.
don't forget that nokia has got alot of infulwence on the networks. who ever has a nokia network would not supply to many and to fast phones. its begining to go better now, after this news was going around, nokia told that is noncence but some internal people of nokia said it was true, here in belgium we had some problems whit are 2 best operators who have nokia network, they wouldn't sell or sell on time somer ericsson or other brand phones. but thats history now. maby if you send the operators and phone shops this sort of lettre, they could bring in the P800 much sooner then planed. |
