this 'slow down' is because the driver add more process to the camera and also the camera refresh itself based on current framerate. you will find it different when you turn on Stabilizer/Enhancer in bright and low light environment..

I think the snapshot 2.8 by luchhass has a very good flash shot. I just lack sharpness... His approach is good. Colors are natural. the only problem is daylight shots on it are greenish at times. You can look at it if you have time

update 2011-04-02 (camdriver0_0.4.zip)
- new feature! SmartMode. zoom in and EV button will turn its function into other set for each scene. zoom out back to 100% and EV button will turn its function into exposure again.
- Landscape & Twilight landscape. exposure lock
- Sport. manual shutter.
- Document. manual focus.
- Portrait, twilight portrait & beach snow. manual saturation.
- dynamic white balance for flash.(alpha)
- adjusted white balance for non flash shot

i fix dynamic white balance for flash.. download camdriver0_0.5.zip instead..

at version 0.3, ev button in doc scene only have one function which is manual focus thus you cannot adjust exposure..
when i use manual focus, i always zoom out to get better view.. and i think to put manual focus only when zooming. and keep exposure function on 100% zoom.
this is when i got the idea.
i was not planning to put this mode on other scene, but then change my mind.

white balance is adjusted to fix green problem.
try it and say your opinion.

i'm not hold my laptop for about three week and maybe a month. all change is done only with minicommander..

I noticed at times that when I take a picture, it doesn't save and the camera closes. Viewfinder is fast thats nice but it seems it doesnt update the viewfinder based on the luminousity. I notice that there are non flash twilight portrait shots with ISO 32 whoaaa
