Just a suggestion. I think It would be good you start doing your versions(Version number) for testing purposes also.

The updated driver is in the first page right? By the way just an idea. Make changes in your version number (instead of 99.9). This way your revisions can be seen clearly. He he.

i'm starting this project for fun so i don't realy care about versions..
but... ok..
i'm testing new driver...
i'll start with version 0.1

on this version, you don't need to adjust with EV button to get 2s exposure time. the camera will adjust automatically based on light condition.
in dark environment the shutter speed will adjust automatically up to 2s and ISO up to 250.
in bright environment the camera will adjust to lower ISO and faster shutter speed.
this function turned on/off by turn on/off Image Stabilizer. i change its function for this control.

this driver still have problems. the camera loads very slow at first time.
some times shutter speed not updating. try switch scene then back to auto again to fix it.

please tell me what you think.. try it on night or indoor without flash to see how this function work.

this photo is taken with Auto Scene, Flash Off, the scene is very dark.
2s exposure time, ISO250.

i put several test, looks like it only work when Image Stabilizer icon shows up in Auto Scene. thats mean it only work on Flash Off.

this taken with auto scene.. the grass is a bit 'blue'..

i try another scene and use landscape..

the green is green.. landscape scene add more yellow to the color..

doc and auto scene use same color settings. this photo show perfect green..

but this one show different color..

the leaves on background show inconsisten color.. some green, some blue..
i can only think its because the angle of light (reflection)

green color in auto scene can be fixed by add more yellow..
this one is after color correction.

but this will result in yellowish color.

i also add color correction for yellowish on flash slow shutter

download camdriver0_0.30.zip at my 4shared folder.
but this is TEST version to show fixed green but yellowish color.

Nice test... Yeah I agree. At times there not accurate colors. red and green. Ill try the new version. By the way. for now we can focus first on on thing. Perfecting the daylight shots by pushing the k850i to its limits then we can now move on to improving the nightshots. Because I myself believe that k850i takes a very good crisp and sharp photo. Its just a matter of tweaking
