its a mistake by the reviewer. The screen, even with the pre applied screen protector, feels like solid glass.
If you read the phone manual it clearly states that the screen is glass and that if it shatters or breaks to take it to an authorised repair center.

BREAKING NEWS

The PlayStation Phone Just got a bit More Useful
The Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson's first PlayStation-branded phone, hasn't exactly set the world on fire. Mostly because, for a PlayStation Phone, there aren't many PlayStation games on it.

That could soon be about to change, though perhaps not in a way that will make Sony very happy. Coder yifanlu is working on reverse-engineering the phone's own emulator (used to play downloaded PS1 games) so that he can make it play custom ISO files.

Which for most people will mean the ones ripped from old discs and then seeded all over the internet.

He's already got it working, showing off an Xperia Play running Crash Bandicoot 3, which isn't available for download from the phone's legal marketplace.

Those thinking they'll soon be able to play Final Fantasy VII on their phones, though, don't get your hopes up: support for multi-disc games is a pipe dream for the future at this stage.

Minecraft has been available for the last few days in the UK. I WILL be trying it out, it gets rave reviews from some quarters.

No idea. They are big networks over there so it should sell in some quantity, although it is a very niche device. There has been a price drop so it will available more to those who thought it was too pricey.

Updated to 2.3.3 and it was quite a large update with lots of new features which I'm very pleased about. Definitely worth waiting for.

Hi!

I have a friend with the SE PLay and she asked me how to make the screen go blank.

For example on my Arc, I just press the power button gently.

How should she do on the Play?

I am off to search more..

thanks goldenface,

doesn't seem to work for her, maybe she is too gentle.... So perhaps I need to help with practice pressing buttons...
