SE K850i BROD. Recovering messages! |

Google is my friend, for sure. I know how to fix my phone, however, I don't want to fix it, I want to extract something from it, then pretty much buy a new phone.
So it doesn't start up. Blue ring of death and lit up keyboard. We all know about that. I had the first one in 2008 and sent the phone in and got it back in good health. It's been running fine since then. I am beyond surprised that it hasn't crapped out on me sooner.
Anyway... I've been dumb enough to store important/precious tidbits and notes as "Drafts" on my thus far trustworthy K850i phone. I must have 30 individual messages with random information I really want to keep. Thing is, if I reinstall the firmware with SEUS, the data on the phone memory is wiped out, which means "bye bye messages". I might have a working phone again, but I'd rather have my messages than a working phone. I presume the "draft" messages as well as anything in the inbox and such is stored in the phone memory and not on the SIM card.
I've read about flashing the phone, but will that wipe out the phone memory as well? Is there ANYTHING I can do to recover those messages?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome.
You can make a back up of your File System (FS) using A2Uploader and a backup script. It's dead easy.

Thank you. Is this the guide I need to follow? I don't want to do ANYTHING wrong.
