is there anyway to surf internet on your laptop by connecting it through bluetooth.. m failing to do so ... my old w810i has this feature bt this x8 is nt hving this .. plz help

Hey anshul17k,  Androids running 2.1 do not have Bluetooth tethering enabled.
You can, however, use your X8 as a portable wifi hotspot...which IMO is a much sleeker way to share your internet connection.

hey.. i knw x8 is itself a gr8 place 2 surf net bt still i need 2 surf on my lap ... read ur blog regardin teethering .. n i installed barnacle application bt its showing error.. it says barnacle requirs su to access hardware .. n m stuck there ... what should i do ... m nt that techy.. m using android 2.1 on x8 .. plz help |

Hi anshul17k, download SuperOneClick on your laptop, connect your phone and root it. I'm assuming you're on Windows. Once your phone is rooted, Barnacle should run fine.

hey i hv tried that super one click app but its showing errors.. i hv updated drivers on my lap .. unmounted sd card..connected to my lap n after clicking root it shows recognising device.. then a msg runningagainstherage comes n then after few min cell starts disconnecting connecting usb several times n on lap screen super click shows ni response except the msg running against the rage.. i hv tried super droid app but it also showing fail msg |
