UK Network Everything Everywhere to get Playstation Phone
Everything Everywhere has sealed a deal with Sony Ericsson to range its upcoming ‘Playstation’ phone, the Xperia Play, well placed sources told Mobile.
The device, which it is thought will be launched at Mobile World Congress next month, is likely to be ranged on the operator’s ‘premium’ brand, Orange.
The Xperia Play is expected to run on Android 2.3, with Sony Ericsson’s proprietary Android skin.
A Playstation app will allow users to access the gaming function of the phone, with games controlled either using the built in gyroscope or the traditional Playstation buttons.
The phone also sports a 1GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm processor and 512MB of RAM.
Sony Ericsson has yet to name a launch date for the phone.
Both Sony Ericsson and Everything Everywhere said they ‘would not comment on rumours and speculation’.

I'm not sure it's an exclusive to this network yet, unless it comes in an exclusive colour with them but I'm glad to see it's coming to one of the better data networks and not O2's data drip feed. Can't wait to try it out.

Well it's true The very last thing we need is to have our phone's restrained by poor data speeds and measly monthly allowances.

Yes,iphone anyone?? Exclusive to O2. I am with T Mobile now on a contract & I can tell you I never have to ring customer services ever. Never have issues & coverage combined with Orange & 3UK is fab

I swear i read somewhere that it would just be a gaming phone and have nothing to do with playstation  cant remember where i read it

It's going to be Xperia branded but with a Playstation gaming ecosystem.
