Help Needed. for K850i.. earpiece not working. |

Hi all,
Ive got a problem now with my k850i. Its earpeice is not working.
Made a call till just now, then used my radio with a pair of speakers, closed it, now when
i try to make a call, the sound is too faint and nearly impossible to hear from the earpiece. But the loud speaker is
working fine. I tried reintalling the original acoustic drivers, if that was the cos i was using a modded one.
But still that didn'y help... Head phones are working good.. Please help me figure this out..

Very Bad of this... i hav had 7 views and no one is even interested in suggesting any help...
Not even a mod is available..

no my friend..
it was working fine till 10:00 AM today, then at 11 i tried to make a call, its down..
well all other ways are working like loudspeaker, headphone etc... only the ear piece is not working..

HI all,
Although i didn't get "ANY" usefull help from anyone, (except one buddy) i close this topic
here.. Cos, now my phone is back working properly... Still i didn't get the reason for failure..
Anyway now its OK by its own... I am really sad that there is no one interested in sharing or helping others
here...
for me this has been one of the best forums available on the web for mobiles, especially for SonyErricson.
Anyway thanks for all those who atleast read my post..

Dude we are only just few people here who are k850i users though other non k850i users can help still people right now are busy. What if we form ourselves a forum or thread where active k850i users are still.

hey bluechip its long time  dont be sad or angry my friend i face the same thing before  i just can tell you to go to any market whom fixing phones and let them help you that is the best way i can help you with it

I myself will be active. This k850i of mine is still new. Got it last december 8,2010 from sony center itself. Have a one year warranty. Hope I will not experience that problem

Do you really expect instant help? What if people don't know a solution, should we all post: sorry, can't help you.
You already did the first things to solve your problem like new drivers. Next step would be to put in a new earpiece.
I have my K850 still running as a back up phone.

Bluechip, dear, dont get angry. People are busy with their work. I, myself have logged in after 3 days.
About your problem, indeed i have also faced the same in past and it recovered by itself. What i found that when this problem occurs, just tap a little near top side, besides ear-piece and it starts working again. There might be something loose in there. One more reason is that K850i has very less heap memory. And i have noticed that when your heap gets very low, either the phone freezes and restarts or the earpiece stop working (only in my case) so one simple restart do the trick.
In your case, prior to your problem, you have used the radio with loudspeaker. In that way, your heap got used up and you had that problem.
