I bought my daughter a ipod station for her bedroom a couple of years ago, and all was great. Her ipod was docked on there, and she could play all her music etc. I have since purchased her a new Ipod Touch 4G for christmas, and too find that charging is not supported on her device.
Why do Apple change things part way through their series. We also have a wall charger which charged up mine and her ipod nano's fine, but the same with the wall charger, it says charging not supported on this device.

personally I prefer the fact that my ipod speakers don't charge my iphone 4 as it buggers up the battery charging it all the time when it doesn't need to be charged, however I see where you're coming from. I recon it's to make more money. My in car charger chares my 3G nano but not iphone 4, so I have to buy another. |
