I think, the most important thing faced by android smartphone manufacturers is how to be different and in a good way. Something that average joe will understand and can clearly see.
In this regards, Xperia Play has done that. It is an android based smartphone but the different is , it can play high quality games and it has dedicated game controller. |

I dunno where you got that from but the 8 MP EXMOR R module takes great pictures, and its easily one of the best 8 megapixel cameras out there and better than the Optimus 2X camera you mentioned.

Arc and Vivaz are prettier  neo is as beautiful as the the X10 and the pro is below par.
Xperia Arc is way better than any X10 camera details are way better than even the Satio's sensor. 
The xperia Play will have optimised games created for it by MANY big developpers, so stop whinig or go get a PSP 2 and don't make phone calls, can't get oled because it is to expensive for them that's a real fact but it is obvious as we all know how SE failed in the last 3years and even Iphone uses backlight led lcd screens ! Peace

Is a front facing cam really that important  . I rarely see anybody using video calling, and I personally never use it. |

I also think that xperia Arc is beautiful than X10 and all other phones announced so far.
Actually, I'm kind of happy there is no new announcement from SE because I like Arc very much. So its not hard to choose.

But now ill wait for SE to come out with dual core and nfc. Yes I want powerful smartphone, not even a single minute lag! I always thought android and iphone are fluid and snappy.
I will wait for SE. Dont like Samsung/Motorola design. Though Attic 4G is a powerful smartphone.

Fast and beautiful at last, Samsung now deserve to be number one the galaxy S II is really one of the best Phone ever cool. Still I prefere the xperia pro. |

personally, i'm loving the look of the arc...really can't compare it to anything else out there right now or in the near future as I think it looks that good...not a fan of samsung phones let alone the fact all they do is copy the look of the iphone and put that crappy touchwiz interface on the galaxy, which in all honesty i don't know what it is that people buy that phone for...gotta give them credit for good marketing tho...but after using i900, never samsung again. crappy build and didn't last long.
for all the complainers out there about how are behind and not up to date, i seriously don't think other phones are that much better in anyway...the arc looks smooth as, the reviews say as much...gingerbread is great, have got the latest version plus have promised to upgrade quickly...i have the x10 and it has been nothing but great as long as you don't expect too much from a company that told everyone exactly what to expect with the x10 anyway... plus looking at other forums, ppl have been complaining about crap LG build quality and crappy GPS and lag on samsungs, so each to their own i guess.
I think have done well to differentiate themselves from the rest of the crowd and hope they can make a ton of money with this range so they can keep bringing us new stuff. Used to own an htc and as good as they are, i just wanted something different because it seems to me that every htc being released seems to be just like any other htc. they are all pretty much the same... if i had the finances i would buy both the play and arc but for me, the arc just seems almost the perfect phone for now...who knows, maybe in a year or two dual core phones can really start to shine and be optimised. for me, i don't understand how smartphones can get any smarter...would rather dual cores in things like tablets which is why the xoom is really appealing for me as well.
