Zylo: Quick Query |

Ok, many many apologies if I'm being totally dull but I have a bit of a head scratcher with this.
Have just bought a Zylo as a 2nd phone and want to change the display alert from the toolbar to the pop up when you get a message. Now, to do this on every SE I've had you do this by going into settings>general>toolbar and then choose either toolbar or pop up...however, for some reason when I go into general there is no option listed, I have looked everywhere I can thinbk of but to no avail. Am I missing something really obvious here??
Any help/guidance mucho appreciated. |

I know it's a gsm phone. But I mean if it is customized by your operator?

I took the term GSM to mean that it is an unbranded handset. TBH, I know my way around SE's menus usually but this has thrown me. Cannot really see why it would have been moved from the general setting and even if it has been I can't find it for love or money |

You can stop searching. The pop-up option is gone. SE removed it in 2009

Seriously, WTF is that all about!! Any idea what the logic was for the removal of that function...its not as if they had to write it into the firmware but they had to actually delete something that was useful to many people.
Not impressed!!
BTW...thanks for the reply, tis appreciated. |

Hmm, funny thing....my mate has a Spiro which is the cheaper model situated just below the Zylo and which was also released a few months back, I could have sworn that his phone has the pop up option enabled as I noticed it the other night when he got a text.
confused. |

I asked a former Zylo owner. No pop-up.
Can you ask if Spyro has? I'm curious too.

Yep, will ask when I see him next.
Dunno if relevant but somebody a while back mentioned to me that the Spiro doesn't actually use the proper SE OS but is a modified version based on some Sagem firmware or the like. Maybe it has the pop up because of this reason?? |
