Has anyone been playing the new black ops game? Didn't want to rush into this one like I did with the last one, as the last was full of glitches.

I got it before release date, and I've played it twice

There are a few glitches apparently, they can be fixed with patches. The story line is weak, one of the big improvements is that you can now have 2 players playing online simultaneously from the same console.

It is quite buggy, and was laggy, even before release date, so I'd hate to play now!
They need to move the load from our internet connections, onto proper servers, we aren't paying £40 for a game, to then go out and host it for others, just because we have a good 50Mbit internet connections, that isn't fair.
No dedicated servers for PC's, come on, this is the 21st century!

Another problem is now they have introduced betting, everyone wins money and beacuse claymores are so inexpensive, everyone plants them everywhere. Around each corner there is always about 50 claymores

Not even got around to playing MW2 yet. Got that and MW1 and only spent about an hour on it so far so theres no chance of me getting around to Black Ops for a while. Kids and work really do end up taking up a lot of your time lol

I like it. It has that same waw feel. Its quite a package given you get secret games too. |

Definitely has a different feel to MW2, was a big fan of 4 and 6, wasn't into 5 too much apart from Zombies, but I really do think this is a huge step up, the game feels much more stable from what I've played.
Guns have been tweaked for the better, with largely increased recoil on almost every gun, and a slightly lower damage, so the game is calmed down slightly.
Because everything is at a slower pace, the amount of knife monkeys seems to have decreased also, and the maps really make it so if you get knifed, it's almost always your fault.
No more stupid pro pipes and explosives, claymores seem a lot more deadly but aren't resupplied through scavenger so it's still nice and balanced, and grenades have been dumbed down a lot.
