Elm keypad question |

I was wondering: on my Elm all keys are almost silent. No clicking soundm which I like.
Except.... for the * key (lowest key on the left which you use for locking the phone for instance), which makes an audible click, unlike all other keys. Is this normal? For me, they could/should be all silent! |

Do you mean the click sound in sound settings or the general feedback of the keys?? They are very soft touch so there is nothing wrong

As mentioned above. There is an almost silent click to the keys. You can feel them press in more than actually hear them.
I do miss my Elm at times. Was one of only 3 A200 platform phones I actually did like.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose |

The keypad on the elm is very nice, they all make an audible "click" but as bono and rookwise said, the click is very quiet, I've found that the * key does make a slightly louder clicking sound compared to the other keys but the difference is very small and nothing to worry about.
All keys should have the same feedback, you should notice a problem if some keys are 'softer' to press than others as they don't give good feedback. Luckily this isn't an issue with my Elm, all keys feel great to use.

hi everyone! i just want to ask if the keypad of Elm is not fading. I'm acidic so there's a tendency that the letters on the keypad fades. I got K770i and the numbers and 95% are now fading.. I really want to buy this phone.. thanks in advance for your replies.. |

When you press the very left or the very right edges of the keypad, it makes a louder, hollow clicking sound. It's normal for the Elm's keypad!

it's not that. I don't mean the very edges, I hear what you mean with the hollow sound.
it's the asterix* key in general, whereever you click it. Its a more distinct high pitch click than all the other keys.
It's only when releasing the key, pressing down is soundless, releasing gives a louder click than I want, and different en louder than the other keys do.
