Just to let you guys know my phone which is an never branded/never lock generic x10i (1.2.A.1.174) just updated to 2.1 via pc companion, i found out about the update when i turn on edge connection and went to settings about phone/software update/update now and voila it says update available to 2.1 etc, and it says u gotta do it on pc.
