It's not out in the UK yet Sony Ericsson UK on their twitter page are saying its going to be a few more days yet
Good news though that generic X10's will get the update first

could you confirm which are the generic x10s when i go into the service menu after the numbers it does say generic so would this confirm i have geric firmware |

Unlocked/Sim free X10's use generic.
Have a look at Model Info if it says United Kingdom its going to be getting the X10 generic firmware for the UK.

Where did you see that one mate? I was hoping it would be sooner but wouldn't be surprised.
It doesn't take them that long to 'comply with UK law/Regulations' as they have said on twitter - more like Sony Ericsson employees are incompetent employees.
Sony Ericsson are completely unprofessional.
At my organisation something like this would never happen, messing customers about like this simply isn't done and it's a much bigger international organisation than SE also.

I am updating Generic Global right now so I think Generic UK must be very very soon.
FYI, I checked via phone, it said no update. I updated my PC companion and it told me 2.1 was available. Go figure.

I think it comes to your phone when the advert is put out that there is an update but yeah I have seen quite a few people say they checked if there's an update on the phone and wasn't but when connected to PC Companion there was.
I have just checked and still nothing with either way.

still no update for me yet x10i on 3, if i get the same support as with the satio guess i will never get the update |

They are doing the generic ones first. You will have to wait longer for the branded ones...

Have you got the latest pc companion? the update advert is out when checking for an update on the phone for uk generic sim free handsets.
