How T9 Predictive Text Input Changed Mobile Phones http://bit.ly/c3UtZk

Martin King, co-inventor of T9 text-input software, 1950-2010 http://bit.ly/9aHe1T

Like many good ideas, the T9 concept was born on a napkin and the inventors had to struggle very hard before it became a standard. I'm saying a prayer for this guy & his family - people who try to do good in this world (&on this scale) almost never have an easy time at it - before & after.

I must say I really love this feature. When I had my T68 i remember I used to type using the itap(?) method and I thought it was awesome. When I met T9 it was like a 360 degrees spin.

Yeah, God bless the inventor of t9 predictive text. I am using it all the time. I cant think what would i do without it. My typing on mobile has been so fast just thanks to t9. I can write without looking at the screen.

Three cheers for the inventor. Hip..hip..... Hurray....Hip..hip..... Hurray.....Hip..hip..... Hurray.

I remember experiencing a learning curve when I first used T9 way back then. This was on a SE k608i, my first 3G phone which got me hooked on mobile internet & SE phones. Took me about an hour to get used to it, then was fine after that.

Sean, I don't know what you mean
T9 is very good once you build up the vocabulary of words used that it doesn't regonize, it then makes texting very fast
