for text only browsing (cuts down the KB downloaded and your GPRS costs) and a great email client Eudora Internet Suite is good

also the AvantGo client can surf Websites online
best to stick to PDA friendly sites (small screen design and low/no graphics) here's two portals to PDA friendly:
