Hi all,

I recently purchased a Pouch for my X10 mini and it has a magnet to hold the pouch together,
And I noticed when the pouch is used the Digital Compass of the phone goes haywire

So I'm a bit worried about using the Pouch with my Phone, What do you guys think about using the pouch >?? Bad for the phone ??

It might be allright, but I probably wouldn't chance it myself. I'd be worried it might cause longer term problems.

Not sure how you'd get a difinitive answer. Maybe email SE support?

I e-mailed SE support, let's see how that goes..

In the meantime I'm avoiding using the Pouch

If it's just that tiny magnetic clasp, i should be fine. The electronic compass in the phone is extremely sensitive. My home speakers affect it when I'm 4 feet away from them.

even slider and flip phones having small magnets. but hm pouches the magnet is somewhat bigger. but I don't think it'll affect the phone. if so the companies never produce the pouches with such a big magnets.

I'll just get a new pouch and stay away from those with magnets. The phone cost a whole lot more than the case so I wouldn't dare risk it.
