It really is opinion, for me, Sony's range of walkman's are superior to the iPod series, but like I said, it is opinion (and choice of headphones)

If you believe that listening to your music as the artist intended you to hear it then Ipod (classic anyway)
If you want all singing/all dancing gizmos and sound options to play with then Sony
Many manufactures place the emphasis on sound quality only by loading up the player with countless useless options that can detract from the sound quality, the only and best way to determine sound quality is by your own judgement, after all its your money and your ears

Maybe its my ears but i don't see much difference in sound quality in either? |

Natural = iPod
Amplified =
iPod Classic is BTW, more affordable than but if you have decided for a , why not buy a instead? They have the same audio quality, IMHO.
