@JJ03; Are you still using your I8910 and does the N8 from reading the previews, strike you as a Nokia version of it? Mind you we are still not certain of what Symbian3 brings.

@ jake20 - yeah i see what you mean but then its not something that concerns me, i dont do much video shooting at night time or in low light. In fact i havent done much video shooting since i sold my N93.
Besides, Youtube always lowers the quality of videos so i dont think they're very good examples. When i get mine ill post some videos with mine if you're still unsure about the phone.

I think you're all waiting for Jesus Christ, and guess what, that's just fairytales 
And, second, I think it's a unfair comparision, the Satio will be almost one year older than N8 when it hits the shelfs. My first digital camera was crap compared to my second, and on top of that, it was more expensive too!
If the N8 is NOT better than Satio, Nokia would deserve to be dragged thru a latrine pit. It SHOULD be better, it MUST be better! |

I think you have it all wrong my friend..
Nobody is waiting for Jesus.. We are just trying to determine how much better the Nokia N8 will be, and if its worth the initial price tag, or its better just to stick with Satio or whatever phone you currently have, and just wait for a better device.

True. Everyone wants to know of the improvements and how far they go instead of whether there will be any improvements. Of course we all expect the N8 to be better than the Satio, much better. The question is how much better especially the camera as both have 12MP shooters.

Well, you'll know when you have it in your hands...
I uploaded a video that I have shot of a concert with the Mighty QUO shot indoors, with no 200" video screen lighting everything up, and using quite a bit of digital zooming. I think it's a fairly ok quality, all things considered.
If the N8 has the unusually big sensor you say, it should perform better than that Rihanna video (is that music BTW?).

I've been looking into the Motorola XT720, which currently sports the "best" cam in an Android device, and the videos I've seen on YT just makes me cry. If some thinks Satio stutters, they need to see those videos of the XT720, FVCK me...
