Right guys i need some help, i have moved to Holland for a while while i complete my university exchange and when trying to get my email on my bb sorted i managed to delete the whole folder.
Some background: Originally on o2 in the UK, had hotmail working fine and now in Holland i am with Vodafone, my bb is the 8900 curve, unlocked.

How do i get my email folder back and have my emails forwarded to my handset?

Is the email account still on the handset?

What happens if you re-add the email account on the handset?

How about the internet site for your bb set up? Is the missing account still there? Maybe it needs re-activating or re-adding?

Sorry, if I am not so technical, but hopefully someone can make clear what I am trying to get at

Well i think its still on the account but i cant see the icon, plus i turned data usage off when roaming but now i have a local sim.

When i go to setting it asked me for a user name and not an email address which is why i am confused.

hi!

this is a hotmail folder on the henadset isn't it?

Can you check your bb account online and see wnat email accounts are still set up for the handset?

I thought if a folder was deleted from the handset, then it automatically was removed from the account.

When i go to setting it asked me for a user name and not an email address which is why i am confused.

What happens if you enter the user name and password for the deleted hotmail account? Doesn't the handset set up that account again and then, after a while download email?

Hope some of the bb experts can chip in here.

I think I am correct but only owned a BB Bold for about 14 months.

How do i check it online?

Yes the Hotmail folder has gone, well the problem is that it asked me for a username and not email address, i tried the email address but it said invalid. I remember when i first set it up it asked me for email address and not username.

I have a funny feeling there is a really simple answer to this but i just cant find it lol.

You need to get the local network to enable blackberry on your SIM, you'll then need to go to their BIS site and add your hotmail account, not sure why your emails have gone unless you did a OS reload as part of the unlocking or something.

Don't have a BlackBerry myself, but, as a BB has to be connected to RIM's database, to work properly, isn't it necessary to ask your "old" network (O2) to check your phone out, before your "new" network, Vodafone NL, can sign it in again ?
