Hi,

The answer is NO!
For those who had any doubts in which phone to buy 3650 or P800?!?!?
This might be of help.
The first review of 3650:
http://mobile.burn.com/review.jsp?Id=230

I have to say its worst than i imagined...
- horrible design
- even bigger and larger than 7650!!!!!
- keyboard layout is terrible
- no bluetooth headset support

the only thing nice is the ability to make videoclips using RealPlayer.

Check it out and make your decision...

Look, stop comparing... they're not even targetted at the same markets!!! Nokia knows that they can never beat Ericsson in terms of technology. Any communicator they come up with will probably only have half of what Ericsson's does.

The 7650/3650 and N-gage are targetted at the mass-market youth. Not the elite youth, not yuppies, not power users, not tech-heads, not people who know what they're buying... these 3 Nokia models are aimed at a market who just wants a phone that they can have some fun with...period.

The 7650 was an attempt to be semi-business minded..but it's way to bare-bones for that. The 3650 and N-gage are off-spring of the 7650, derived from market studies of who bought the 7650, their demographics, and what they would want in their 7650... the 3650 and N-gage are the result of those studies. Nokia knew that the business market would never buy anything less than what Ericsson can offer, so they turn their sights towards a market that doesn't really care... the MASS-market.

There are a few exceptions... some teens/kids who are smart enough to buy the P800 (not to mention, rich enough) ... you guys are the exception... these are the same kids who probably know the difference between sparkling white wine & champagne... kids with taste. Not the Beavis & Butthead types

The 7650/3650 and N-gage all cost HALF of the P800... what makes anyone think that these phones are competition??? They're not. Anyone with at least half a brain would probably just buy a Palm TT & a T68i over a 3650/N-gage... unless of course, all you really want is a Sega Game Gear kit with a phone built in. (It is about as large as the Game Gear)

whoever said that they can be compared!!! it is a known fact that the 3650 would be the cheaper version of 7650 even before it came out. the only thing is that tehy put more memory than in the 7650.

This is regarding the new (Q4 2003) N-gage... So far, I know the N-gage is a more capable gaming machine than the current (and about to be replaced in April 2003) SE T300. But the T300 has so many more games (and really cheap at that) and TechTV actually had a teaser review of the N-gage... they said that it currently has no games, and by the time it is released, it will only have 10 games available.

It's a HUGE machine!!! And it still has the puny 7650 screen!!! I'm estimating a price of about $300-$350 for this to be worth it... The upcoming Nintendo Gameboy Advance (this is the upcoming one with frontlight) is gonna retail for $99..and has hundreds of games out.

Although, considering the people who bought the 7650, I feel that the split market 3650 & N-gage answers of Nokia was a very logical way to go. No one serious would really use the 7650 (well, at the time since it was the only 'all-in-one' device perhaps) ... Nokia decided to play its strengths... and appeal to the kiddies who love their weird looking phones (7210 anyone?)

What I cannot understand is that both the 3650 and N-gage are soooo bare feature-wise...and yet, they are both a LOT larger than even the P800!!! And I don't mean 1mm here and there... both these phones are almost an inch longer and half an inch wider! That's HUGE!!! (The only reason I tolerate my P800's size is cuz of everything it has crammed in it! ) I guess the 3650 and N-gage will fit perfectly (and won't get lost) in those over-sized, low-waisted jeans all the teens are wearing nowadays.

That's not true about the limited games available for the N-Gage upon release. Since it's operating on the Series 60 platform(used in 3650/7650 + other manufactorers to come) there'll be heaps of games available for it and not to mention useful apps as well.

And comparing it to the T300 is just rediculous. If you've ever tried a 3D game on a Series 60 device you'd know what I'm talking about. Not to mention of course that N-Gage is a far more feature rich and advanced device.

I'm not a future buyer though, lol, but lets be fair and open minded, and try not to dismiss any product just because it's bearing the Nokia name with false facts and lame comparisons..
