SE F305 White screen! |

A friend got a SE F305 2yrs ago and of late he is having some troubles with it.
The camera wasn't working properly a few months ago,so decided to service it but the technician told to replace it.But after a few days it started working fine again. 
since last week when he receives a call he is not able to hear until he switches to loudspeaker. Today the screen has gone "WHITE" and not able to see anything..
How to solve this??
Will a software upgrade fix the problem??Can u suggest a suitable upgrade or a flash for it??

how to start off the procedure??What all things shd be taken as backup incase something goes wrong n so as to restore back to original state? Also I couldn't find the provided link  can u be specific..
