I used to use Nero wave editor for trimming mp3's and adjusting the volume levels etc, can anyone recommend a good prgram to do this, as I dont want to install nero, just for the wave editor. Free would be preferable.

Cheers Paul

GoldWave does everything you will ever want to do.
You will need to get the LAME MP3 codec to save MP3 files. http://www.goldwave.com/faq.php#mpeg

The non-purchased function is fully functional without any kind of time/uses limit, but has a reminder pop-up to purchase it at every startup. Though I could PM you a serial key if the reminder pop-up bothers you.

For editing mp3's I use Power MP3 Cutter: http://www.cooolsoft.com/mp3cut.htm
For adjusting volume I use MP3 Gain: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

Both are easy to use programs, might not have too many technical features, but they do the job for an amateur.

Why not just use Audacity 1.3, it has everything and it's free.
