The Sony Ericsson P1 supports BlackBerry Connect. Also the Nokia E71. This allows you to use some BB functions in your non BB phones. But the BlackBerry Messenger is unique to the BB phones as it works with the BlackBerry Pins. I may be wrong.

you are correct.. bb messenger is a secure pin authenticated messenger unique to and only available for BB devices.
