Hi, Im planning to upgrade my t39m to a t68i. The t39 has been a great phone, no complaints really, except being stabbed in the groin by the ariel every time I sit down

So is this a good move? Anything I should know? Any major drawbacks with the t68i that I should be aware of. Of course I'd love to go for a p800 but 1) its not available on Orange yet and I couldnt afford it either.

thx

I've done this 4 months ago. I'm happy, but the keyboard in T39 had been soooo much better than this rattling crap that T68 has. Besides that - great move. F.

Well I did it, picked the phone up 9am Sat morning, really happy with it. Dont think Im going to miss my t39 too much either. Seems slightly quicker (sofware) than the t39 for a start. thanks for the advice.

dont forget to upgrade the SW version to the nearest service center. upgrading the software will give you some advancements such as faster menu and sms response, bug fixes, more stability. CAUTION : some user (not much though) think that older sw version is better than the new one and they also said it's risky to upgrade. some users' phone had bizzare behavior after upgrading, experiencing instability, etc. but to my point of view it is still worth upgrading your t68. as long as you under the warranty period, you have nothing to worry about...

i had r1c and upgrading to r6a and until now nothing matters except the "lot faster" menu response!

It's too late now.. but I'd go for siemens s55.
It's a VERY impressive phone.
It has everything the t68 has + java, poly ringers , can read email attachments(also you don't have to know the ip address of you pop server).
The menus are a little messy and the two soft buttons are downright painfull though.
