So we're going to Moscow in October half term, flights and hotel booked, and we're onto sorting out visas now (which is a little painful)
Anyway, I came across this (http://www.visitrussia.org.uk/) - they seem to issue visa support documents, I've telephoned them, and it's alright for me to do it in person at their London office. Has anyone had any dealings with them, ie. the Russian Consulate rejecting their support documents etc? Or anything else I should be wary of when getting the papers?
Hope there's someone about that can help!

(Yes, I've asked our hotel. No, they do not issue these papers.)

e careful. There are lots of companies that say they will do you applications for you to get visa's. They charge large amounts when often it is cheap to get a visa. Contact the russian consulate in london to see what they say.

they are not getting our visa, we will be doing that ourselves through the Russian Consulate.
The rules for obtaining a tourist visa into Russia require us to produce some sort of support document (tourist confirmation, invitation etc) so that the Consulate knows where we will be spending each night of the trip, and only then will they issue the visa. It's currently a matter of getting hold of those papers, should (hopefully) be plain sailing after that. Hope that clears up any confusion, JC!

Visited the office today, to have a look at its location etc.
It's in the same building as Aeroflot's Green Park ticket office, so I'll double check their legitimacy with the airline.
