I have a new Elm and have a couple of questions - sorry if I sound a bit stupid! If the 3G icon and the wireless icon are both shown, how do I know which I'm actually using and if I'm being charged for the call - in other words how can I know for sure that all I'm doing is using the local wifi rather than dialling out, or visa versa? Also does anyone know if I can use skype/fring or similar over wifi to make free/low cost calls? Many thanks.

don't worry, as long as you are connected to a wifi the it will be the default data connection for your phone.
dunno bout your other question (skype free call)

Thanks for this. Will always make sure wifi connected before doing anything when in wifi zone!

Re the other question, it doesn't seem skype have anything for the elm so I'm looking at other options.

Only miniFring is available for non-symbian SE phones; there is no VoIP support.

Yes, from what I have found fring (and mocall) don't support voip on the Elm, only text. Is it likely someone will write something, or is it a restriction nof the software I wonder? Thanks anyway for your help.
