Hi

Looking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems,

Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own eg photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get wierd garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.

I have tried :

formatting the memory card

deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in )

Adding a new folder same thing happens

I can upload a pic if it helps

Thanks for any advice in advance

Sometimes additional files are created to support the ones you want. I don't know what there files do but if you delete them, your item is corrupted.
Someone with a brillant idea will show up soon

I think your system is infected with some virus or trojan. Transfer files to some other usb flash device and check if the same thing happens. If yes, then you need an antivirus/antispyware programme to scan and clean your system. [addsig]

Could u tell us the names and extensions of those files?
And did you try to transfer some files to any other usb flash device? Or if it is possible, you can use some other system and try to transfer files to your phone's card and see what happens. [addsig]
