Text message contact not updating |

Hi all,
I have a SE Satio at the moment and I saved a contact with a short name to the number, this person then texted me and it showed up in the short name I assigned to her.
However when I updated the contact name to her full name, that message still showed up in the person's short name I originally assigned her, Is there a way to get it to update to show her full name?

You haven't got the same contact saved on your SIM with the short name have you? Had a similar thing with my daughters phone (not a Satio) and the SIM contact was showing in preference to the phone contact. |

Nope just on phone memory for this contact, it's kinda stumped me a bit to be honest...

i don't think you can update it. It seems to me that the sms database can't get updated.its the same if you get a message from an unknown number and after that you save it to contacts.the sms still shows only the number. |
