Picked one of these up today for my wife. She wanted a Galaxy S until she decided mine looked too much like a 3GS Anyhow, first impressions are positive. Nice sized handset, with the fantastic 3.3 inch Super AMOLED screen. Although a bit smaller than the Galaxy screen, looks stunning, and still has pixel density of 800x480, images look very sharp and clear. Camera quality is very impressive, and 720p hd video I'd say is a cut above the Galaxy..... just

The BADA OS itself is a cross between Apple OS, and Android with Touch Whizz thrown in on top. Very easy to use phone, exremely user friendly. Samsung look like they've had a good poke around on other OS and tried to pick out the best bits on them and put it into BADA. I like in the media gallery that you can tilt the phone to move through images and video instead of swiping the screen. Still having a good look through everything it does, but so far very impressed. Very solid build quality too, feels like it weighs the same with its battery out as my Galaxy S does with it's battery in. Will try and add some shots soon.
BADA apps are a bit thin on the ground, but seem to be of good quality, (certainly better than the majority of offerings on the OVI store). I just hope alot more apps are developed for it. It seems very speedy through menus, and not noticed any lag. Pinch to zoom in browser and gallery, works well too.

Agree 100%

Should have kept mine. Beats the overhyped Desire exc for app-shortage. Also pretty good battery life if I remember correctly.

I took this with the Wave - really overcast dull day. Quite decent if you ask me.

Ok, took as close to same shot as possible of my youngest son. Switched off flash on the Wave to make it fair with regards lighting (pictures were taken in lowish light). In my opinion, both cameras perform very similarly. On screen, I think the Wave looks sharper marginally, but on pc they look very much equal.
See what you think:

Sorry pictures not showing here, but if you click on link to open them, you'll get to compare in more detail with full exif info.
