hello,
i waited what seemed like years for sony to come out with a great camera phone, then came the C901.
i bought it, fell in love with it and lost it six months later (march 2010), took a month to find a new one, found it in the philippines, bought it, had it a week, and some bugger stole it off of me.
i feel that my life cant go on without getting another one Im in love with the shape, size, and the amazing xenon flash. i bought my first one in hong kong. but after i lost it was told that it had been fazed out of hk. second one was had in manila, but again now i have been told that sony has fazed it out.
maybe there is a higher power here telling me that i was not meant to own the C901, but i cant help myself. i want a new sony ericsson phone, with at least 5MP camera AND a xenon flash. do i hunt down another C901 or give up and settle for something else?
is the C901 still for sale somewhere?

 yeah in manila c901 phased out. but c905 on sales here

If only the C905 were not infested with hardware issues, I would recommend it you. Yeah, C901 is a little wonder. |

Actually C901 was never officially released in HK. What you got was imported from China like mine.
You can still get one from the internet.

i looked at the C905 before the C901 came out, but it felt just too big and clunky (heavy) for my liking...

i bought my second one from Angeles City back in April, they had them then (also in Manila), but just a few weeks back when i went to Robinson mall they said that it was fazed out... shame, have cash burning a small hole in my pocket, but cant seem to find one (anywhere in person)

i like SE, have no interest in buying another brand, but using my (very old now) D750i its driving me nuts. i fell in love with the xenon flash (the C510, i feel just wont be the same) but i wonder how if i cant find a C901 what can i find this will fit the bill?
im a little leery about buying one online, was hoping to find one in person, but i feel my time is running out.
i just dont understand as to why SE fazed it out, its bloody brilliant, and yet they havent replace it with anything else...

Or how about try to buy a second hand via Internet because the almighty C901 was then phased out due to large sales. Here in Manila, we have TipidCP.com, sulit.ph to name a few.
Another option is to give up your C901 dream and move on to Elm. Yeah, a non-xenon flash camera is a bummer but it's photography features is better than the latter.

another phase out phone maybe elm... other site phased out the C901 also the Elm its the end of the world

there aren't many camera-phones out there that has xenon flash, if your going to use GSM arena phone filter with Xenon Flash, it will return a result of 25 Phones and 8 of them came from SonyEricsson.

If you can't find c901, IMO will be c905 or Satio, there price is going down already, although i know these phones are totally different from size and form

why not save more and get N8
Samsung
W880 and Pixon
without Xenon Flash
i would get Hazel for my next phone it's a worthy upgrade from c901, everything we need including wifi, gps, a 2.6" screen, Noise Cancellation, HD Voice, An excellent music phone, we just lose the xenon and active lens cover from c901, and maybe the size and weight of the phone if that matters
or Vivaz or even w995 its still a worthy upgrade and price is going down^^

so as luck would have it, my work is sending me out for a meeting tuesday morning in penang, and have a late flight home, so fingers are crossed that i will be able to find one for sale.
ah, that effort that one must go through to find a decent phone.....
