Installing .apk without File Manager? |

Ok, Hi
It may be a stupid question, but after all it's me who is asking this
I'm not at home, on summer holidays. I've X10 & Telenor & have wap & mms settings, but none of them works. Telenor support center here tried to help me, but they could not get it work. In short, i can't access Android market here, but i can download .apk files from PC-internet. I want to root my phone, but it'll delete all my applications etc. (Astro File Manager also). If after rooting, i want to add applications again, then i need a file manager (i've .apk files) to install applications.
Is there any easy way to install .apk file without file manager? Or anyother way to install .apk file without using mobile net & file manager? Or any other way to use internet on mobile using PC-internet? Hufff
Sorry for my poor english

ADB which is the debug tool allows you to push apks to the phone and install them.
This tool is used extensively in the rooting process and you should be able to use it
fairly easily if you dont mind running stuff from the command line. |
