I use the gmail app but when I setup my gmail account with the Email app, it didn't sync it properly. It was missing loads of emails and a reinstall was the only way to wipe the account from the email app. I've since installed the generic firmware but is there something I could have missed before?

The Gmail app is light years ahead of the Email app which I have setup with Yahoo email, but I inevitably check my Yahoo mail through the browser since it is also very, very good and better than the email app.
