I am having a problem getting album art to be displayed. Most of my albums dont display album art (a few do) When the same track is played on my Aino the album art is displayed but not when the track is played on the X10.

I have tried the "Get Album Art" feature on the phone, it just say all files have album art when most of my albums dont display it

Is it something to do with the picture size or format??

Oh man, that's funny. I am buying an X10 soon and I was just thinking about this on the way home on the bus, literally half an hour ago. Then I check Esato and this topic is here.

I have had problems when transferring music to many Sony devices and album art not showing up. It's really stupid and I don't understand why it happens but I have found a solution which solves this problem 90% of the time for me, and this will probably only work for those of you that use iTunes.

When you have a song in iTunes (and this should work when you select multiple items), right click it and it should have the option to "Convert ID3 Tags". Click this and choose version 2.2 from the drop down menu. Do this for all your songs and hopefully the Album Art should start showing up on your X10. I know this works for my Sony X10 Walkman.

Changing the ID3 tags as far as I can tell doesn't affect your music files at all, but it might pay to research it, I don't know. Maybe test one or two tracks and see if it works first!

Nope, doesn't work!

Its just one album that won't load the artwork, even though it's there!

I don't understand!!

Ah that sucks. Mustn't be the same problem with the X10 that I have with my Walkman. Sorry I couldn't help.

If you still used it (I'm guessing you don't), then the above solution should work!

with pc companion you can right click on albums and "force" download or select a own cover that you have dl your self instead of the autodownloaded one, for the albums that dont work. but then you have to sync with pc companion and i am not a fan of that metod i am more for copy the files by hand, i liked the old "folder.jpg" sulotion but syncing is less time consuming i guess
