C905 AT&T Internet and MMS Settings

After using Davinci team to flash my Chinese C905 with:

C905 R1FA035 CID49,CID51,CID52,CID53 CUSTOMIZED BR/NIGHT BLACK AMERICA

I finally got my phone settings to work properly for AT&T, here is what I did:

Internet Settings -> Connect using MEdia Net (I had to create this)
Allow Local Connections Yes

In MEdia Net I set up:

APN: wap.cingular
UserName: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
Login Request: off
IP Address: just leave blank
DNS Address: leave blank
Authentication: None Chap Pap
Data Compression: off
Header Compression: off
Proxy Settings: On, Multiple

Then go into proxy settings and do this:
Proxy: On
Same for all servers: off
Proxy Servers: Multiple

Then go into proxy servers and do this:
Select HTTP then:
Username: leave blank
Password: leave blank
Proxy Address: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Select Secure then:
Username: leave blank
Password: leave blank
Proxy Address: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80

Then go into your messaging and do this.
Menu->messaging->settings->picture message then go down do MMS profile.
Select new profile. Under MMS profile name type AT&T MMS. Under Message Server type http//mmsc.cingular.com and then Connect Using MEdia Net.

Good Luck

Greetings,

I love the C905a - I just bought a 'new' unbranded C905a and could not send/receive 'picture messages'. I spoke to ATT and was informed that it was just not possible to load the 'Media Net' settings on an unbranded phone - I was informed that I should just get a new Smart phone and deal with the $30/month data charges. I found then followed your instructions and the phone works beautifully ! No flashing, no cda/firmware tweaks ! GPS, Internet, full streaming video, send/receive images/video (8GB chip) ... and no $30/month data charge. Thank you

I'm sure you'll be happy for a few years
It's still a wonderful phone.
